Purpose of the register
The company and marketing register maintains the information of Melba Digital's existing and potential customer companies' contact persons.
Personal data can be processed for the following purposes:
- customer relationship management
- handling, development, targeting and monitoring of marketing, communication and sales
- customer relationship analysis, grouping and reporting
Data content of the register
The register can store information such as:
- Name of the company
- The company's contact and mailing information
- The company's industry
- First and last name of decision-makers and contact persons
- Contact and mailing information of persons
- Title, position and operational area of responsibility
- Information about the person's marketing permits and prohibitions
- Information about participating in direct marketing campaigns
- Grouping information of companies and persons
- Customer status
- Communication with the customer
- Other information relevant to managing and developing the customer relationship
Regular sources of information
Information is obtained primarily from:
- From the customer himself
- From information produced by Melba Digital itself or Melba Digital's stakeholders
- About directory service companies and other public registers
- From other relevant sources
Regular transfers of information
Personal data will not be disclosed outside of Melba Digital and parties acting on Melba Digital's behalf, participating in the production, development and maintenance of services, other than according to the agreement, other consent and regulations. As a general rule, personal data is not transferred outside the European Union or the European Economic Area.
Principles of registry protection
The information is stored in the IT system. The data in the system can be accessed and used only by those persons of the data controller who have the right to do so because of their work. Register users have personal usernames and passwords.
Right of inspection
The customer has the right to check what information about him is stored in the register. An inspection request can be made by submitting a signed written inspection request to Melba Digital at PO Box 115, 00101 Helsinki. The inspection request must include the name, social security number, postal address, and telephone number. In addition, a copy of the identity card or passport should be attached. The information is not forwarded to the customer by e-mail.
The right to demand correction of information
To the extent that the data subject can act by himself, he is asked, without undue delay, upon receiving information about the error or upon discovering the error himself, to correct, delete or complete incorrect, unnecessary, incomplete or outdated information in the register on his own initiative.
Prohibition right
A person can prohibit Melba Digital, in accordance with § 27 of the Electronic Communications Data Protection Act, from processing personal information for direct marketing purposes by notifying of changes by e-mail to melbamail@melbadigital.fi or by acting as otherwise indicated in the electronic marketing message. If the customer has forbidden direct marketing, he will still receive customer communication necessary to manage the customer relationship and provide services.
Changes to the privacy statement
Melba Digital reserves the right to change the privacy statement if necessary, especially when the services are being developed. The current privacy statement can be found on Melba Digital's website with the date of modification.
Data retention period
The person's basic data will be stored indefinitely or until the person wants them to be deleted.

We use cookies for the technical implementation of our services, improving the functionality and user experience, developing our services, statistical monitoring of usage/visitor numbers and advertising/marketing targeting.
